Questions

What technology do I need to get started?

These days you can get started with a smartphone and a pair of headphones with a microphone. For our consultations, you will need a stable internet connection. This is particularly important for doing recordings together and for you for recording episodes either solo or with guests in the future. Purchasing a microphone can be an excellent investment but there is no need to rush into that just yet! As part of the setup process, I may recommend a free platform or a paid one for your podcast, depending on your goals.

How do I become a “podcaster”?

Standing on the outside looking in, it always seems harder, and more glamorous than it is on the inside, I can assure you. Part of the work I do with you is helping you find that podcaster inside of you who is just waiting to step up and tell your story or give a voice to the people that matter to you. Soon you too will be podcasting and interviewing with confidence.

Couldn’t I do this myself?

You could. It will cost you a lot of lost time and efficiency to launch your show. By taking advantage of my knowledge, skills and accountability, your show will be a reality in no time. You’ll also benefit by becoming one of the network of shows that Jayne has helped produce that supports each other.

What if I am unhappy with the service I receive and I want a refund?

I give a 48 hour “cooling off period”, once you have signed the contract in which you can ask for a refund and cancel our agreement to work together. However given the nature of my service, I do not give refunds once we have commenced our consultation or work together. I will make every effort to provide the services listed in our contract. If you are unhappy with anything, I appreciate you letting me know so I can make it right. Refunds will only be given in the case where I am unable to provide the services in our agreement due to illness or unforeseen circumstances.

How can I pay?

I accept credit cards and Paypal. Bank transfer is available for those in Japan.

I’m overseas, do I have to pay Japanese consumption tax?

No, just let Jayne know which country you are in and you will be invoiced without having to pay the tax.
